AVON — Parks and Recreation Committee approves prior minutes and advances spring facility planning. The panel confirmed that playground inspection companies have been identified for spring work and will conduct joint facility reviews with the Department of Public Works once weather permits. Director Christina Green reported eight new summer field trips and sought approval of donation requests to Dunkin' for a Blue Hills outing on March 6 drawing 53 registrations, and to local businesses for a Civic Center refrigerator and microwave.
The committee finalized its new webpage, which now includes the summer calendar, program flyer, permit forms, and summer program policies. All committee members have completed conflict-of-interest training, and the budget remains on track.
