Avon Parks and Recreation Commission unanimously approved field permits and field improvements on April 13. The board waived the field fee for Self-Help Inc.'s story time series at Miller-Tracy playground in June and authorized purchase of two standalone metal trash cans for Butler and Crowley fields. Director Christina Green reported playground inspections scheduled for May 13 across all three sites for $2,400 and detailed summer offerings including Minds in Motion camps at $175 per child per week and Monday-morning yoga at $240 for the season.
Pickleball lessons begin May 5, capped at 12 participants.
