Parks and Recreation approves field permits, refrigerator purchase

Avon Parks and Recreation unanimously approved a $300 Civic Center refrigerator and granted HAYSA conditional use of the Butler field for spring soccer with the permit fee waived. Director Christina Green reported 26 summer program applications received with review scheduled for March 13, outlined an August camp called Minds in Motion serving up to 16 children ages yet to be determined, and announced a pickleball lesson program opening April 1 with potential online reservations through a redesigned website. The committee discussed adding a pop-up tent to next year's Blue Hills Tubing event and reviewed three playground inspection quotes ranging from $2,400 to $3,500.

A baseball spot cover quote was tabled pending confirmation of high school specifications.
