Avon Select Board endorses $35.3 million FY27 budget with 4 percent growth over current year. Town Administrator Jonathan L. Beder outlined a $22.2 million town-side budget (2.6 percent increase) and a $13.1 million school budget (6 percent increase), driven by medical insurance climbing 15 percent and special education services rising 14.5 percent.
The board appointed Christina Green as Park & Recreation Director effective February 2 and approved gift donations totaling $13,630 to the Fire Department and Public Library. Capital requests stand at $5.9 million, to be funded through repurposed articles and free cash.
