Board of Health · Meeting of April 9, 2026

AVON — Board of Health approves two Title 5 septic system upgrades and advances illegal sewer connection plan. Jeffrey Tibnam, Chair; Ralph Jensen, Clerk; and Michael Lawler, Member, unanimously approved local upgrades for properties at 357 East Main Street and 69 Pine Court, each with deed restrictions limiting future expansion and banning garbage grinders. For 160 Memorial Drive, the board approved a food permit through year-end and set June 1, 2026, as the deadline for executing an Intermunicipal Agreement with Brockton to legalize the illegal sewer connection, with completion targeted for December 1, 2026.

The board also unanimously backed a Sustainable Purchasing Policy focused on waste reduction and recycled-product procurement, which Health Agent Kathleen Washburn will present to the Select Board.
