AVON — The Avon Finance Committee unanimously scheduled a mock town meeting for April 29 at 6:30 p.m. at the fire station. Chair Suzzette Waters and members Jarrett Beeley, Daniel Norian, James Norian, and Bruce Boring approved refreshments for 20 people and assigned tasks to confirm the venue with the fire chief and promote the event on Facebook. The committee also managed timelines for the Annual Town Meeting Book, with corrected proofs due from Ziprint by April 17, distribution set for April 22 or 23, and Special Town Meeting books required in homes by April 28.
The Department of Public Works will handle pickup and postal delivery of materials.
