Zoning Board Approves Waste Management Expansion and Residential Mudroom Permit

AVON — Zoning Board unanimously approves Waste Management recycling expansion and residential mudroom at hearing. The Board granted Waste Management of Massachusetts, Inc. a Special Permit and parking Variance to expand recycling operations at 20 Ledin Avenue, reducing required parking spaces from 41 to 29. The expansion includes a 38.7-foot building addition and stormwater improvements.

Board member Kevin Foster, appointed from the fire department, discussed fire suppression requirements under state regulations; Chris Lucarelle, representing Waste Management, committed to addressing suppression concerns. The Board also unanimously approved a Special Permit and front yard setback Variance for Kesner and Marie Derosla's mudroom addition at 28 Nichols Avenue.
