Avon Board of Health rescinds mask order

Avon Board of Health votes unanimously to rescind the town's mask order. Clerk Ralph Jensen moved to lift the face covering requirement, seconded by Member Peter Marinelli, with Chairman Robert Ogilvie voting in favor; the rescission takes effect May 29 to align with state guidelines. Health Agent Kathleen Waldron attended as recording secretary.
The board also reviewed trash contract terms with Town Counsel and discussed bulk collection policy changes, with residents to be notified in late June or early July.
