Zoning Board approves trial permit for wholesale auto dealer

DocumentCenter · Meeting of October 5, 2021

Avon Zoning Board approves trial permit for wholesale auto dealer. Ben Pinkowitz, operating as d/b/a B & C Motors, won unanimous board approval for a special permit to conduct wholesale motor vehicle sales at 491 West Main Street under a 13-month trial period with strict conditions prohibiting vehicle storage on site. The permit allows Pinkowitz to obtain a dealer license for out-of-state wholesale operations while the property maintains its existing use as a lumber company renting U-Haul vehicles.

Alternate member Edward Mekjian emphasized the need for a defined trial term and detailed stipulations to ensure compliance.
