Planning Board approves Abington Bank signage rebrand

DocumentCenter · Meeting of October 7, 2021

Avon Planning Board approves Abington Bank signage rebrand with conditions. The board unanimously backed a redesign of directional and building signs at the East Main Street branch, including updated halo-lit façade signage and repositioned directional markers to maintain sight lines. Building Inspector Robert Borden required applicants to submit square footage measurements for the east and west wall faces to verify compliance with bylaw limits, and noted handicap signage must designate parking as van-accessible.

The board also unanimously continued a public hearing on 540 Bodwell Street, Extension, to November 18, 2021, and voiced concern about the cost of advertising public hearings through The Enterprise.
