Selectmen set December 10 special election for vacant seat

Avon Board of Selectmen schedules special election to fill Rose vacancy. The Board voted unanimously on September 15 to hold a special election on December 10, 2022, from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., to fill the Selectmen seat left vacant by Selectman Steven P. Rose's September 16 retirement after more than 30 years of service to the town.

Nomination papers will be available to interested candidates starting September 26, 2022. The special election will fill Rose's unexpired term through April 8, 2025.
