Avon Board of Selectmen approves street names and cybersecurity funding. The board voted 3-0 to designate streets in developer Muhammed Itani's Joanna Estates as Brady Circle and Joanna Court; Fire Chief Robert Spurr confirmed the similar name poses no emergency-hazard concern. Selectmen unanimously approved a $249,485 Department of Environmental Protection cybersecurity grant for the water system, with a $43,300 or less town match funded through ARPA money.
Additional votes approved a $49,900 bid from Quincy Memorial for veteran memorials and a flea market permit for the Avon Baptist Church Men's Fellowship.
