DocumentCenter · Meeting of February 16, 2023
Avon Board of Selectmen approves temporary retirement benefit increase. The board unanimously voted to raise cost-of-living adjustments for Norfolk County Retirement System retirees from 3 to 5 percent for fiscal year 2023, retroactive to July 1, 2022, with Interim Town Administrator James P. Purcell noting the increase does not impact the FY24 budget.
In separate unanimous votes, the selectmen authorized Chairman Eric S. Beckerman to sign a $5,000 Vision Software upgrade contract for the Board of Assessors and approved a $25,000 professional services agreement with UMass Amherst for an Industrial Park zoning study. The board also approved use of Town Hall for Project 351's spring clothing collection and a pool table license for Ben's Pour House.
