Selectmen Appoint Interim Assessor Following Retirement

Avon Selectmen appoint interim assessor to address principal vacancy. The board voted unanimously to appoint David Golden of Regional Resource Group as interim assessor, working one day per week in-office plus remotely under RRG President David Manzello, and unanimously approved consultant contracts from Patriot Properties Inc. for 6,000 dollars and General Service Agreements with Daniel Lane for personal property and real estate valuations. Town Administrator Gregory S.
Enos explained that finding assessment services coverage proved difficult, with many companies busy assisting other municipalities. Golden's appointment reflects a two-contractor plan devised by Enos and Bruce Lane.
