DocumentCenter · Meeting of April 28, 2021

Avon School Committee presents FY2022 budget of $10.5 million. Superintendent Christine Godino presented a budget request totaling $10,478,329, including $9,517,707 in local funding and $2,465,569 in Chapter 70 state aid. District enrollment declined by approximately 40 students this year.

The budget prioritizes maintaining service levels and small class sizes while addressing building maintenance and MCAS performance. Godino reported that the district is recruiting for a Director of Pupil Services, Transportation Coordinator, Adjustment Counselor, and ELL teacher, and noted that the U.S. Department of Agriculture extended school meal waivers through the 2021-2022 school year, continuing universal free meals in schools.
