Avon School Committee approves FY2024 budget with four new positions. The Committee voted to approve the FY2024 budget, which adds a district-wide Curriculum Director, an additional assistant principal at Avon Middle-High School, a Music teacher, and an Instructional Assistant. Superintendent Christine Godino reported enrollment at 730, up 15 students.
Public commenters Megan Mallet and Marci Kovack objected to sports game entrance fees as too costly and inconsistently applied, prompting the Committee to table the vote until January 18.
