Avon School Committee approves new Food Services Director position amid staff departures. Superintendent Christine Godino announced resignations: Manager Karen McCarthy (30 years), Anne Ryan (18), Laurie Flaherty (12), and Ginny Lowe (24); the committee unanimously approved the Food Services Director position beginning March. In other business, the committee unanimously approved a Special Olympics Polar Plunge fundraiser, a School Committee Policy Manual proposal from MASC, line item transfers, and acceptance of four Providence Bruins tickets for a student raffle.

Sports entrance fees ($5 adults, $2 students, $7 family) passed 4-1, with Claudia Lucia as the sole dissenting vote.
