School Committee approves education accord, authorizes equipment spending

Avon School Committee approves education agreement, backs classroom technology spending. The committee unanimously approved a memorandum of agreement with the Avon Education Association and authorized $8,516.80 to purchase document cameras and webcams for Butler School teachers. Superintendent Christine Godino reported students and staff have returned to in-building learning this fall with smooth operations.
The district expects 450 Chromebooks in early October. All students receive free meals; remote learners can pick up lunch between 10 and 11 a.m. at either building.
