AVON — Planning Board approves fire pump enclosure, continues two commercial projects. The Avon Planning Board unanimously approved a site plan and special permit for a 15-foot by 22-foot fire pump enclosure at 57 Littlefield Street with arborvitae screening and drainage improvements designed to minimize impact on nearby residences. Chair Charles P.
Comeau's board also continued two major projects: a 13,600-square-foot commercial warehouse at 540 Bodwell Street Ext. moved to October 15, and an 18,000-square-foot addition for Karas & Karas Glass at 1 Kiddie Drive moved to October 1, pending plan revisions and Board of Health coordination on septic requirements. The Board approved $3,590.88 in warrants for Jacob Driscoll Engineering and Gannett Media services.
