Designer Committee OKs $310K in Fire Station change orders, invoices

AVON — Designer Selection Committee approves over $310K for Fire Station project work. The committee unanimously approved three change orders totaling $42,098.35 for concrete demolition, boulder removal, and foundation insulation, plus invoices of $267,913.97 for design and construction services. Committee Chair Tracy Self and members Alex Sinclair, Elaine Dombrosky, and Chuck Comeau approved the expenditures despite the project running approximately two weeks behind schedule.

The Fire Station addition construction has progressed to footing and wall placement, with framing scheduled to begin in October.
