School Committee approves Director of Pupil Services job description changes

Avon School Committee approves job description revision. The School Committee voted in favor of changes to the Director of Pupil Services job description, with Chair Tracy Sheehan, Member Paul Chapman, and Vice Chair Anne Hagberg supporting the motion. Superintendent Christine Godino reported on pandemic response measures, including extension of the mask mandate through February 28 and implementation of a new opt-in COVID-19 testing program through April 22.
Staff and students received rapid tests and the district distributed KN95 masks to provide staff a six-week supply.
