Avon schools approve $18,500 summer grant as construction begins on parking lot. Superintendent Christine Godino reported the School Committee's unanimous approval of the $18,500 Summer Acceleration Academy Grant to fund early literacy and mathematics instruction for rising K-4 students during a one-week program in late August. The committee also unanimously approved commissioning Demographic and Facilities Studies and removing the Transportation Coordinator from Policy 7000/G.
Butler parking lot construction begins June 28.
