Avon parks board approves outdoor movie equipment

Avon parks board authorizes $1,000 for summer movie equipment. The Park and Recreation Commission voted to purchase an outdoor movie screen, projector, and audio system for community movie nights and future events at its June 22 meeting. Five commissioners were present at the Zoom-based meeting.

The commission also unanimously authorized the Recreation Director to rent a portable sink from United Site Services for the summer program. Community Movie Night is scheduled for July 31, with an August 7 rain date, and vendor Ellie's Treats has been booked to provide food.
