Planning Board withdraws municipal building project; 2040 Master Plan approved

Planning Board · Meeting of January 22, 2026

Avon Planning Board votes unanimously to withdraw approvals for proposed municipal building at 106 and 120 East Main Street. Chair Chuck Comeau and board members voted to deny the site plan and special permits for the project, which would have demolished existing structures and constructed a new facility with parking, courtyard, and basketball court, acting on the applicant's request without prejudice. The board also unanimously approved publication of the 2040 Master Plan.

Town Planner Richard Jordan presented zoning map corrections for May warrant, including industrial reclassification of 59 Littlefield Street and mixed-use designation of 162 East Main Street.
