Avon Planning Board endorses Housing Production Plan to boost affordable housing. The board agreed to move forward with the initiative designed to help the town meet state affordable housing requirements, with Chairman Charles Comeau set to discuss adoption with the Town Administrator and Board of Selectmen. The board also unanimously approved an 8-foot vinyl fire-retardant awning at 175 Main Street to replace a structure destroyed by weather, with Building Inspector Robert Bordon confirming it meets required standards.
A public hearing for 540 Bodwell Street Ext. was continued to November 5.
