Park and Recreation reorganizes, approves mulch spending

AVON — Park and Recreation Commission reorganizes leadership. The commission unanimously elected Carl Fischer as Chair and Daniel Hart as Vice Chair at its June 24 remote meeting. The five-member board approved up to $5,000 in year-end spending for mulch maintenance at Miller Tracy, Stephen K.
Mills, and Carl Lundgren playgrounds. The commission welcomed new member Marci Kovick and unanimously tabled a proposal from Darren Tran regarding Bartlett Street tennis courts for further review. Program Director Jennifer Mayo will research online activities for families as the Fagan Drive Shed renovation continues.
