Park and Recreation plans summer programs and events

Avon Park and Recreation Commission advances planning for summer events and programs. The board met via hybrid format June 8 with Chairperson Daniel Hart, Vice Chairperson Benjamin Chapman, Commissioner Jocelyn Lyons, and Commissioner Marci Kovick, while Commissioner Matthew Ferro was absent. The commission confirmed Butler Day for June 15 at 3:30 p.m. at Noonan Field and directed Recreation Director Jennifer Mayo to plan Community Movie Night for August 6, including contacting food vendors Joe's Eats and Treats and Ellie's ice cream truck.
Mayo also advances a tennis court survey through June 30 while managing summer program registration and facility planning.
