AVON — Park and Recreation Committee approves facilities for holiday festival and school event. The committee, chaired by Ben Chapman with Commissioners Marci Kovick and Jocelyn Lyons present, approved porta potties for the Civic Center's December 2-5 holiday festival and authorized Noonan field use for a school rocket club event on November 2. The Bartlett Street and basketball court projects, totaling approximately 250,000 dollars combined, remain tabled pending town meeting funding.
