Board approves $87,000 fire station insulation contract

AVON — Board of Selectmen approves $87,000 fire station insulation contract and multiple personnel actions. The board voted unanimously to award the contract to Marine Insulation Services, Inc. for apparatus building insulation work. Additional approvals included a Section 15 Package Store license transfer for A-1 Market to Oanh Quach and campaign sign displays for three Selectman candidates: Peter Marinelli (100 signs), Paul Garcia (100 signs), and Daniel Norian (50 signs).

Step increases and merit-based rate changes were approved for five town employees: Outreach Coordinator Louise Hardiman, DPW Director William Fitzgerald, Treasurer/Collector Deb Morin, Assistant DPW Director Brian Martin, and Police Chief Jeffrey Bukunt.
