Park and Recreation Commission approves Valentine's kits and virtual programs
DocumentCenter · Meeting of January 13, 2021
Avon Park and Recreation Commission unanimously approves Valentine's programming for February events. The board voted to order Valentine's Day cookie kits from Montilios Bakery at $12 per kit, following December's successful holiday cookie kit program with 110 kits ordered by over 40 families. The commission also approved Joe's Crazzy Critters for a virtual show on February 17 for $175 and commissioned 25 pottery kits from Just Claying Around for $375, charging families $15 per kit.
All three initiatives reflected the department's strategy to sustain engagement during the pandemic.
