Avon Recreation Commission approves field permits for youth sports. The Park and Recreation Commission unanimously approved a field permit for Dirt Dawgs women's softball to use the second field on Fagan Drive from mid-June through September with an additional $200 fee for a total of $400. The Board voted 3-0 with one abstention to approve an Avon Youth Baseball field permit for all three Fagan Drive fields and the stone dust field at Butler from April 1 through July 1, 2021, with the fee waived; Commissioner Marci Kovick abstained.

Recreation Director Jennifer Mayo announced spring programs including an egg scavenger hunt, April vacation events, and a pumpkin-growing contest in memory of Doreen Gouthro.
