AVON — Park and Recreation Commission approves $3,000 summer budget and spring recreation spending. At the remote meeting, the board unanimously approved a $3,000 budget for summer program crafts and equipment, a $687.87 purchase of 56 bags of field chalk, a porta potty rental for spring baseball and softball, and a Hitmen Baseball permit at Noonan field for six dates in July and August. Vice Chairman Benjamin Chapman presided with Commissioners Jocelyn Lyons and Marci Kovick present.

Recreation Director Jennifer Mayo reported that a spring egg scavenger hunt drew over 30 families.
