AVON — Council on Aging readies twice-weekly May lunch program. Director Christine Quinn said grab-and-go lunches will run Tuesdays and Thursdays starting May 6, advertised through the COA newsletter and at Town Hall, the Library, the Post Office, and Fellowship Circle. The board discussed COA office reopening and reviewed potential uses for Tufts Grant funds to support senior safety equipment and handicap parking assistance.

Quinn proposed a 250 dollar community Happiness Program speaker event potentially at the Avon VFW, and Board Chair Karen Johnson announced she will step down from her leadership role but remain on the board.
