Park and Recreation approves 2022 summer program dates

Avon Park and Recreation Commission sets summer program through August 2022. The three-member board present, consisting of Chairman Daniel Hart, Vice Chairman Benjamin Chapman, and Commissioner Jocelyn Lyons, voted unanimously to run the program from June 27 through August 12 and to allocate up to $200 for civic center soda machine lock replacement. Recreation Director Jennifer Mayo outlined spring programming including grab-and-go kits in February, adult craft nights in March, and cooking classes in April.

The board tabled five agenda items including Miller Tracy playground work, tennis court issues, and field fee revisions.
