Library trustees meet remotely during pandemic closure
DocumentCenter · Meeting of April 7, 2020
Avon library trustees review pandemic response in remote meeting. Director Ann Fogg reported that asbestos testing has been completed on the planned lobby and bathroom renovation, with results pending from the contractor. A town-wide hiring moratorium remains in effect, leaving the Technology and Senior Circulation staff positions unfilled.
Staff are working remotely, focusing on website improvements, database research, and professional development. The town will provide laptops to staff members Joe and Zelia to support continued remote work capability as the library remains closed under COVID-19 safety guidelines.
