AVON — Board of Health approves septic system upgrades despite video conferencing difficulties. The Avon Board of Health approved three Title 5 local upgrade requests during an April 16 Zoom meeting, allowing reduced groundwater separation requirements from four feet to three feet at six and eight Bows Lane, 13 Foster Street, and 46 Glendon Street. Chairman Gerald Picardi was unable to vote due to technical equipment failure, while Clerk Robert Ogilvie and Member Ralph Jensen approved the upgrades, which will allow septic system replacements at three residential properties.
A fourth septic upgrade request for 12 and 14 North Main Street was tabled pending the owner's acquisition of neighboring land.
