AVON — Board approves septic upgrade for commercial property. The Board of Health unanimously approved a local upgrade for 11 and 13 Robbie Road allowing vertical separation for a septic system to be reduced from the required four feet to three feet. Clerk Robert Ogilvie moved the approval, and Board Member Ralph Jensen seconded.
The plan calls for replacing the existing system with a new septic tank, pump chamber, and elevated field for the warehouse and office property. The Board suggested installation of an automatic dialer on the pump chamber to alert responsible parties of pump failure.
