Library board approves reconsideration policy change

Avon Library Board restricts reconsideration requests to residents. Trustees voted to limit material reconsideration requests to Town of Avon residents, aligning with policies elsewhere. The board also voted to close early on July 7 at 5:00 p.m. due to staffing shortages.

The Director reported approximately $11,500 spent on materials, furniture, and renewals, with new Library of Things acquisitions including a Nintendo Switch, microscope, and metal detector. Summer Reading launched June 21 with 21 children and teens enrolled as of the meeting date.
