Library board approves holiday closures, addresses building updates

DocumentCenter · Meeting of November 10, 2020

Avon Public Library board approves holiday closures. Members Paul Chute and Nancy Puckett voted unanimously on November 10 to close December 26 and limit hours on December 31 to 4 p.m. A Fire Chief inspection revealed maintenance needs including emergency alarm signage replacement and emergency-door repairs.

Library Director Ann Fogg reported the board is requesting $3,750 from free cash reserves to offset cuts to the library's annual budget, with the selectmen set to bring the request to Special Town Meeting.
