Housing Authority opens community room to residents starting September 13

Avon Housing Authority votes to open community room to residents, receives energy conservation funding. The board voted unanimously to open the Community Room to residents effective September 13, 2021, with a grand opening cookout planned for a later date. The housing authority received state approval for $62,556 from the DHCD Sustainability Initiative for energy conservation improvements.

The authority manages 9 current vacancies and has signed 2 new leases since July 1, and Executive Director Sherry Guilbault received approval to attend the MassNAHRO Annual Conference in Falmouth, September 19-22, 2021.
