Fire Station Design Project Advances Toward Bid Phase

DocumentCenter · Meeting of February 13, 2020

AVON — Fire station design project advances to bid phase with March 25 target. The Designer Selection Committee approved $39,500 in consultant invoices from ACG and Saccoccio & Associates for the $3.66 million project on February 13. Construction documents are scheduled to be 100 percent complete by March 6, with a public hearing on the site plan set for March 5.

A hazardous materials assessment identified asbestos in existing flooring, window caulking, and ceiling; the design consultant will provide an abatement plan. The revised site plan shows a loss of five parking spaces and incorporates a $69,175 metal apparatus building.
