Finance Committee launches budget review amid deficit concerns

AVON — Finance Committee begins fiscal 2020 budget review while working to control deficit without raising taxes. Members questioned the Department of Public Works, Board of Health, Library, Fire, and Police departments on various budget increases; Selectman Eric Beckerman and town officials vowed to find creative spending solutions.
