Finance Committee approves warrants ahead of town meeting

AVON — Finance Committee approves warrants for operational expenses ahead of town meeting. The committee unanimously approved three payment warrants totaling $3,589 for postage ($500), association annual dues ($160), and printing services ($2,929), authorizing Chair Daniel Norian to execute them on behalf of the committee members. Selectman Eric Beckerman reported positive public feedback on town meeting article explanations posted to Facebook and discussed the Fire Department study status and pending board vacancies.

Finance Committee members unanimously agreed to have Richard Jordan draft a letter to the state regarding continuation of hybrid meeting procedures under the governor's emergency order. The next meeting is scheduled for May 3 at 6:30 p.m., prior to town annual meeting at 7 p.m. at Avon Middle High School.
