Finance Committee approves warrant, defers FY27 budget vote to Feb. 26.
Finance Committee · Meeting of February 12, 2026
Avon Finance Committee approves $2,497.78 warrant for Special Town meeting books. Chair Suzzette Waters presided as the five-member panel unanimously authorized the Ziprint copying expense, noting its necessity given project scope despite higher-than-typical costs. The committee deferred votes on the FY27 budget until after the Select Board reviews the school budget on February 19; the school portion is projected to increase $767,000, or 7.7 percent, after accounting for school choice.
All other budgets have received Select Board approval except fire. The Finance Committee will reconvene February 26 to act on budget articles.
