Finance Committee approves MMA dues warrant, tables two items

AVON — The Avon Finance Committee approves $163 warrant for Massachusetts Municipal Association membership dues. Chair Derek Staffier led the committee through routine approvals including July 7 meeting minutes while tabling discussions with the Fire Chief and on a Finance Committee recruitment flyer to future meetings. New member Jarrett Beeley was sworn in, joining existing members who will complete required training.
The committee discussed the possibility of holding two fall meetings per month on Thursdays, to be finalized at the next meeting. The committee voted unanimously to approve a $163 warrant for MMA membership dues.
