Director to submit state waiver for library funding

DocumentCenter · Meeting of September 8, 2020

Avon Library Trustees hold remote meeting on operational updates. Trustees Chuck Comeau and Paul Chute, along with Library Director Ann Fogg, unanimously approved prior meeting minutes and reviewed the library's phased reopening, which includes curbside pickup and 30-minute patron appointments for browsing. The first week of appointments, beginning August 27, drew 32 patrons; the following week drew 27.

Director Fogg reported the library must apply for a state aid waiver due to Avon's 10 percent reduction in all department budgets.
