Avon Council On Aging approves prior meeting minutes, addresses communication gaps. The board voted to approve January 8 minutes with an amendment by member Deb Greene removing incorrect gift bag information, with five yes votes from Karen Johnson, Deb Greene, Jean Kopke, Joanne Grenham, and Nancy Puckett. Members discussed communication failures involving COVID-19 vaccine information and inconsistent phone coverage, recommending the Director send weekly Friday emails to board members.
The FY 2022 budget was completed as level-funded except for union salaries and a new employment agreement for Louise Hardiman; Gentle Yoga classes are being offered on Zoom weekly, and newsletters are being sent to Avon residents turning 60.
