Council on Aging approves furnishings purchase using grant

AVON — The Avon Council on Aging voted to purchase 10 new round tables and a storage cart using the Tufts Grant. The Council raised meal prices to $5 effective March 1 and discontinued to-go meals citing operational issues. Jane Carthas reported the Senior Tax Write Off Program exists but has never been utilized.
Eight new programs are in development, and the Council ordered 250 welcome bags for distribution.
