Commission approves $400 field permit for Dirt Dawgs women's softball

AVON — Park and Recreation Commission approves field permit for Dirt Dawgs women's softball. Vice Chairman Benjamin Chapman led the meeting with Commissioners Jocelyn Lyons, Marci Kovick, and Matthew Ferro, with Chairman Daniel Hart absent. The board unanimously approved the field permit for both fields on Fagan Drive, Monday and Wednesday evenings from 6:00 pm to 8:30 pm, June 15 through September 14, 2022, with a total fee of $400, conditional on insurance coverage and payment before June 15.
The board also unanimously approved a baseball banner purchase for the Noonan field for the AMHS baseball team, conditional on approval from the Athletic Director, principal, and superintendent. Recreation Director Jennifer Mayo reported that playground inspections for all three town playgrounds are scheduled to begin May 13.
