AVON — Board of Health sets strict compliance deadlines for food-code violations at Pour House. At its May 12 meeting, the Board of Health outlined conditions and two milestone deadlines for Ben's Pour House at 39 East Main Street after repeated violations of food safety codes. Owner David Benvissuto agreed to complete basement remediation, remove trash, institute daily closing checklists, and obtain a certified food protection manager course by May 23, with kitchen and floor replacements and sewer pipe repairs due by July 11.
Health Agent Kathleen M. Waldron documented violations on April 25 that persisted since at least 2016. The Board warned that failure to meet deadlines will result in closure.
